Request Account & Data Deletion
Mergo respects your right to delete your account and personal data. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your data.
Follow these steps to permanently delete your Mergo account and all associated data:
Step 1- Open the Mergo app and sign in to your account.
Step 2- Navigate to your Profile by tapping the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
Step 3- Open Settings by tapping the gear icon on your profile page.
Step 4- Scroll to the "Account" section at the bottom of the Settings page.
Step 5- Tap "Delete Account" and confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted. You will be signed out and redirected to the login screen.
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:
Profile information — name, username, bio, date of birth, profile photos, and interests
Posts and stories — all content you have created, including images, polls, comments, and likes
Messages — all chat conversations and messages
Events — events you created and your participation records
Social connections — followers, following lists, waves, and matches
Venue check-ins — all location check-in history
Your account and associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 7 days of confirming the deletion request.
In certain situations, Mergo may retain limited information where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, or enforcement of our terms. Any retained data will be kept only for the period required by applicable laws and will not be used for marketing or profiling.
